Background

UNICEF Moldova is seeking for Individual Consultancy on child health, growth and development standards

Objectives: to provide technical assistance in respective areas, with particular focus on child health, growth and development standards (Child Care Standards) aimed at improving child care, including home-visiting practices on the left bank of Nistru river.

The specialist will have following major areas of responsibilities: desk-review of best practices in Child Care standards, including home-visiting practices and parenting skills (health, nutrition, care for development and safety); provide assistance on revision of Child Care Standards on the left bank of Nistru river; identify the needs and provide support on informative materials for primary health care workers and parents on child care (immunization, breastfeeding, baby and young child feeding, early stimulation and safe environment, care for development); conduct training of trainers regarding the implementation of the revised and approved Child Care Standards for health professionals.
