Background

UNICEF Moldova is looking for three (3) National Consultant to conduct a Situation Analysis of the status of children and women in Moldova   

 Objective:  The objective of this consultancy is to conduct a rights-based, equity-focused Situation Analysis (SitAn) focusing on an assessment of the status, trends and situation in regard to the realization of children’s and women’s rights in Moldova and provision of recommendations to address identified shortfalls and disparities to accelerate progress towards development goals

The consultants have to have high level of expertise in the area of: Child Protection/Social Protection, Health and Education.

 The consultants will:

  • Conduct a desk review of available research and studies to assess the manifestations of and analyse major causes of child rights shortfalls and inequities
  • Conduct in-country data collection, interviews with stakeholders and field visits for data collection
  • Conduct and in-depth causal analysis of the major drivers of child right inequities in key specific areas as specified in TORs
  • Consolidation research findings and prepare final full SitAn report
  • Develop Summary Report with key findings, conclusions and recommendations  (25 pages)
  • Finalize the SitAn report following inputs from government counterparts
  • Support the validation of the analysis for the realization of child rights with equity, including by preparing and presenting key findings of the report at a Validation Workshop (PPP and other materials
