Young filmmakers and photographers are invited to submit their works on migration and diversity till 20 November 2015.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), Mission to Moldova and The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (AoC) launched today the 7th edition of PLURAL+ Moldova - the film and photo competition for young people from the Republic of Moldova.

PLURAL+ MOLDOVA, edition 2015 is open to anyone aged 9-25. Its main objective is to let young people share their perspectives on migration and diversity as they are the best promoters of tolerance and integration in a world marred by divisions. The participants are invited to spearhead change through their creative work: short films or photos on migration, diversity and social inclusion.
“PLURAL+ MOLDOVA is an excellent opportunity for young people to share their authentic views on migration issues and opportunities linked to it. They are creative agents of change who can reflect on various social issues and can also come with solutions to them”, said Antonio Polosa, IOM Chief of Mission to Moldova.

Filmmakers are expected to produce a 1 to 5 minute video of any genre and style (documentary, play film, animation, etc.); photographers may submit a set of up to 3 pictures. The works should reflect issues related to migration, respect for human rights and dignity, the principle of absolute prohibition of violence in any form, promotion of social cohesion among peoples and creeds. After the closing date for submissions a competent jury will evaluate works in two separate sections – Video and Photo. The winners will be announced and awarded during the Awarding ceremony, organized annually on December 18th on the occasion of the International Migrants Day.

Participants are kindly asked to read the contest rules and FAQs before completing the Application Form. Information related to PLURAL+ MOLDOVA, edition 2015 is available at www.iom.md.
