Second round of grants to promote business innovations: deadline 22 August 2015

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Moldova announces the launching of the second round of grants competition for small and medium enterprises willing to apply innovations in their businesses. The maximum grant amount is USD 8,000 or 60% of the total budget of the project, the applicant covering not less than 40% of the total value.
The grants competition is eligible for micro-, small and medium enterprises founded at least two years before the application date, planning to implement innovations in their activities.
Deadline for submitting applications is 22 August 2015, 17.00 local time.
Applications are done online only, at www.inobiz.md. The eligibility criteria, application form and other details being available at http://inobiz.md/financial-support/.
The grants competition is implemented in the framework of the ‘Innovative business development for local sustainable economic growth’ Project, implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova with the financial support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During first round, in the period June 23 – July 27, over 200 proposals were received (most popular fields being energy and environment, agriculture, ITC sector), the project intending to finance up to 100 projects. Proposals received in the first round are already in the evaluation process.
The “Innovative entrepreneurship for sustainable employment” project contributes to the development, adaptation and implementation of new tools for career development, job search and entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova.
