Within the framework of the Joint IOM/ UNDP Programme on “Mainstreaming Migration into National Development Strategies”, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), IOM is supporting the Moldovan Government in integrating migration into its national development planning documents and policies and to continually monitor and adjust their approaches to Migration & Development.
Purpose: The objective of this assignment is the execution of a joint mapping of the migration-related projects with a view to supporting the government in the consolidation of the Migration and Development (M&D) projects under the mainstreaming umbrella; and to conduct an institutional capacity assessment of the public authorities with a migration-relevant mandate.
The IOM will commission 1 (one) National Consultant, who under the overall guidance of the Project Coordinator, will execute the joint mapping of the migration-related projects and conduct an institutional capacity assessment of the public authorities with a migration-relevant mandate. The results of this assignment will enable the creation of synergies with ongoing development programming and other M&D interventions and will support the coherent and coordinated evidence-based policy making.
